(this is not an actual picture of me)
So this morning when I looked in the mirror I seen it...I knows its been there for a while but today it sank in. I have the dreaded muffin top(sometimes called a spare tire). I have tried to use the excuse its just baby fat that I haven't lost yet from having my baby, but he is 9 years old now so I can't really use that excuse anymore can I? And I complain about being a little overweight to my husband and of course he says"Honey I think you look great." But of course he is going to say that cuz he doesn't want to end up dead, or like the guy in the movie Misery!! But really how many of us mother's say we are going to lose that extra weight and instead just gain a little more. I am about to turn a year older (whispering: 30!) and I don't want the middle age spread, as I have heard it called before. I have used a million excuses as to why I wasn't going to exercise. I mean I am going to school to become a Chef, and you can't trust a skinny Chef can you? But anyways I am ready to do something about it....starting today...ok maybe tomorrow... I am going to do something about my muffin top! I will keep you updated on how it's going.

Life in Daric's words!
My son Daric has a unique way to say things...and sometimes he gets really mad if you have no idea what he is talking about. Here are a few of the funny things he has said, and I know there are more that I will remember later:
He was trying to figure out where we bought this statue for Jeremy, and he kept saying you know the place we bought that Donnie Goose, and I had no idea what he was talking about, then I finally figured out he meant the Donald Duck Firefighter statue we bought from Kirlin's!!
Sometimes if we eat out he gets to pick the restaurant and it was his turn to pick and he said he wanted to eat at Big Bob's, which we finally figured out he meant Bob Evan's!
He loves to sing, but most of the time he NEVER sings the right words...one day he kept singing "paint me a burning ham" , it took me a while but I figured out he meant, "paint me a Birmingham" sang by Tracy Lawerence.
He was listening to the radio and a Bud Light commercial came on, you know the ones that are real men of genius, well Daric thought it was real men of Jesus!!
He was at my Mom's one day helping her put the pool cover back on and when they lifted it a waterbug scattered away and Daric yelled, eww look grandma a CROTCH ROACH!!!
When he was younger he had some funny ones too: he would see a butt crack and call it a butt crap. And everytime he seen a ford symbol he thought it was an Old Navy symbol, and so he thought all Ford vehicles were really made by Old Navy which he called Old NANY, When he would get mad he would say "your getting on my NERBS". He use to call scissors "sharp sharps, Oh and when he was really little he had tubes in his ears and the tube fell out and we had to save it to put under his pillow for the tooth fairy!!!

If I were a statue!
Your friends and family want to make a statue in your honor. What will it be made out of and what victory will it commemorate? It will be made of coffee beans and chocolate and it will commemorate a life well lived and filled with love!
I think we take for granted the things we have in life, family especially. I know I for one get wrapped up in my busy everyday life, and don't always make the time to spend my spare moments with my family....I don't mean my husband and child, I mean the rest of my family. Tonight we went and had supper with my cousin Jaime and her husband and boys, and we had a blast. The whole way home I thought "why don't we do that more often?" It's not because we don't like each other it's because we get so busy and just don't make the time. So I have decided I am going to do more with my family. Family is such an important part of life! So watch out family...your gonna be seeing more of me and mine!!!

Cinderella or not!!??
I wonder...who does the dishes at Cinderella's house? What happened in her happily ever after? Does she ever get elbow deep in spaghetti sauce, finger paint and bathwater while little prince makes a royal mess on the floor? I got my fairy tale...it took a few trys but Prince Charming came in on a white horse and swept me away. Now what? That's where the story ends. This is where I get to share my happily ever after...
My name is Chrissy and I am married to my Prince Charming (Jeremy), and we have a son, Daric, who is 9 years old and in the 3rd grade. Daric is very into Wrestling, he got 2nd place this year at Regionals! My hubby is a Paramedic at Dunn's Ambulance in Mattoon and a volunteer Firefighter in our hometown of Windsor. I am a full time student at Richland Community College majoring in Culinary Arts. We have an almost 4 year old Pug named Lily, who is spoiled rotten and doesn't realize she isn't a human. Most of the time our life is busy and chaotic, but also amusing!
